Mesh Element Sizing
The mesh resolution and Mesh Element Quality are important aspects to consider when validating a model. The goal is to resolve details in the geometry and solution well enough while at the same time use a coarse enough mesh to get a solution in a reasonable time.
When you build a mesh in the software without doing any modifications, a Physics-Controlled Mesh is built. This means that the software controls the mesh resolution by setting up a suitable sequence of Meshing Operations and Attributes in the background.
To manually assign sizes on individual entities, select to edit the physics-controlled mesh, then select to add Attributes. Use predefined sizes or define customized size parameters, expressions, or distributions. See also Editing and Resetting a Physics-Controlled Sequence and Adding, Editing, and Building Meshing Operations and Attributes.
