Electrode Surface Coupling
Use the Electrode Surface Coupling node to specify the mass flux into or out of the model domain based on current densities specified in an Electrochemistry interface.
The flux is proportional to the current densities and the stoichiometric coefficients according to Faraday’s law. For details, see the Electrode Surface Coupling section in the Structural Mechanics Theory chapter.
Model Inputs
Enter a value or expression for the Coupled reaction iloc.
Stoichiometric Coefficients
Enter a value or expression in the corresponding field for the Number of participating electrons n and for the Stoichiometric coefficient νi for species i. The following convention is used: The stoichiometric coefficient of the reduced species νred is set to a positive value and the stoichiometric coefficient of the oxidized species νox is set to a negative value.
