The Poroelasticity, Large Deformation, Solid Interface
The Poroelasticity, Large Deformation, Solid Interface
The multiphysics interface Poroelasticity, Large Deformation, Solid couples the Darcy’s Law interface and the Solid Mechanics interface. Although the theory for the two Poroelastic interfaces Poroelasticity, Solid and Poroelasticity, Large Deformation, Solid differs significantly as shown in Theory for the Poroelasticity Interfaces, the interface settings and the multiphysics interfaces look similar.
The main difference is that for large deformations, the Formulation list under the default Linear Elastic Material node within the Solid Mechanics interface is set to Total Lagrangian. This forces the check box Include geometric nonlinearity in the study step to be selected and grayed out.
For more information about the interface settings and the settings for the multiphysics node, see The Poroelasticity, Solid Interface.
