) under to define custom tables that you can access in the window (see The Color Table Window). nodes are also added automatically when you import custom color tables using the window.

For a local table, you can edit the RGB values (0–1) in the , , and columns. Use the buttons underneath the table to move, insert, or delete individual rows with RGB data, clear the entire table, or load or save the color table data from or to a file. The column is optional. In that column, you can add lengths as nonnegative scalar numbers to decide the relative length of each color segment in the color table. For continuous color tables, the last length is not used. If the column is left empty, all colors in the table get an equal length.

For a color table from a file, enter the path and filename in the field, or click (

) to browse to the file using the window that opens. You can also click the downward arrow beside the button and choose (

) to open the fullscreen window to choose a file from a database, for example. Click the downward arrow for the menu (

) to choose (

) to move to the row for this file in the window, (

), and (if you have copied a file location) (

From the list, choose (the default) or to interpret the color data as a continuous or discrete color table, respectively.
