The High Mach Number Reacting Flow Multiphysics Interfaces
The High Mach Number Reacting Flow multiphysics interfaces are predefined interfaces available when licenses for CFD Module and Chemical Reaction Engineering Module are active. They are used to simulate the transport and reaction of species in gas flows where the velocity magnitude is comparable to the speed of sound in the gas, that is, flows in the transonic and supersonic range.
Selecting the Laminar Flow option in the Chemical Species Transport>High Mach Number Reacting Flow branch of the Model Wizard, or an option in the Chemical Species Transport>High Mach Number Reacting Flow>Turbulent Flow branch of the Model Wizard, or Add Physics windows, the following physics interfaces are added to the Model Builder:
High Mach Number Flow, Laminar, or a turbulent flow equivalent like High Mach Number Flow, k-ε.
Transport of Concentrated Species
In addition, the Multiphysics node is added, which includes the multiphysics coupling feature High Mach Number Reacting Flow, which predefines and controls the couplings between the separate interfaces in order to facilitate set up of models.
