Reduced Slot Joint
Use the Reduced Slot Joint node for 2D and 3D components to create joints between two components such that they are free to rotate relative to each other about the joint rotational axis and also free to translate relative to each other along the joint translational axis.
The Constraints, Locking, Spring and Damper, Prescribed Motion, and Applied Force and Moment subnodes can be added to modify the properties of the joint.
Axes of Joint
For 3D components, Select the Joint translational axisAttached on destination or Attached on source then enter values or expressions for Joint translation axis etr0 and Joint rotational axis erot0. The default is (1,0,0) and (0,1,0) for etr0 and erot0, respectively.
For 2D components, select the Joint translational axisAttached on destination or Attached on source then enter values or expressions for Joint translation axis etr0. The default is (1,0,0).
See Prismatic Joint for these settings — Attachment Selection, Center of Joint, Joint Elasticity, Joint Forces and Moments, and Sketch.
