Screw Joint
Use the Screw Joint node for 3D components to create a joint between two components such that they are free to rotate relative to each other about the joint axis and at the same time translate along the same axis. The translation and rotation are not independent; they are connected through the number of starts and the pitch of a screw thread.
The Constraints, Locking, Spring and Damper, Prescribed Motion, Applied Force and Moment, and Friction subnodes can be added to modify the properties of the joint.
Thread Parameters
Enter a value or expression for the Pitch p and Start n.
See Prismatic Joint for these settings — Attachment Selection, Center of Joint, Axis of Joint, Joint Elasticity, Joint Forces and Moments, and Sketch.
