In the Model Builder window, expand Results > Electric Field, First Wave (ewbe3)

, then click Electric Field

In the Settings window for Multislice, locate the Multiplane Data section.

This is the norm of the electric field of the first wave.

It is clear that the input beam approximates the target field. Add a plot showing the difference between the target field and the actual field.

In the Home toolbar, click Add Plot Group

and choose 3D Plot Group

In the Settings window for 3D Plot Group, type Electric Field, Difference Between Actual and Target in the Label text field.

Locate the Data section. From the Dataset list, choose Study, Bidirectional, Mode Expansion/Solution 11.

Right-click Electric Field, Difference Between Actual and Target

and choose Surface

In the Settings window for Surface, locate the Expression section.

Again, this plot shows that the two modes are superposed to approximate the target field.
