Geometry 1
In section Global Definitions - Parameters the parameters for the geometry were defined. Using a parameterized geometry, it is easy to experiment with different dimensions for your waveguide structure.
To build the geometry, start by defining the simulation domain and then add the two embedded waveguides.
Block 1

In the Geometry toolbar click Block .

Go to the Settings window for Block. Under the Size and Shape section in the:

Width text field enter len.

Depth text field enter width.

Height text field enter height

Under Position choose Center from the Base list.
Block 2
Now add the first embedded waveguide.

Block 3
Add the second waveguide by duplicating the first waveguide and modifying the position.

Right-click Block 2 and choose Duplicate .

Go to the Settings window for Block. In the Position section in the y text field enter d.

Click the Build All Objects button .
