The Electromigration subnode is used to add an additional flux contribution (
Γem, i) that is proportional to the gradient of an electric field. The flux from electromigration is evaluated as follows
where zi are the charge number of each species,
F is Faraday constant, and
V is the electric potential. The flux is evaluated in the reference or deformed configuration depending on the choice for
Frame in the
Solid node.
The Electric Potential can be either a
User defined expression or it can be selected from another physics interface.
Specify the Charge number for each species, and then enter a value or expression in the corresponding field.
