Artificial Viscosity
Use the Artificial Viscosity subnode to add damping to the material model. Artificial viscosity can be used in the Explicit Dynamics study; for other study types the settings in the Artificial Viscosity subnode are ignored.
Artificial Viscosity
Select the Method and enter the settings accordingly. The material will get additional stresses proportional to the strain rate.
Deviatoric
The additional stress is proportional to the deviatoric strain rate. Enter the Linear coefficient cL and the Quadratic coefficient cQ to define the shear viscosity ηv.
Volumetric
The additional stress is proportional to the volumetric strain rate. Enter the Linear coefficient cL and the Quadratic coefficient cQ to define the bulk viscosity ηb.
