Reverse Crack Front
Use the Reverse Crack Front node to manually control the tangent direction of a crack front in 3D. This may be necessary, for example, if a crack front consists of several edges that have opposing tangent directions from the geometry. The main purpose of this node is to control the definition of what is positive and negative values of the stress intensity factor KII.
This node has no other settings than an edge selection. The selected edges will, from the crack analysis point of view, have a tangent direction that is reversed when compared by the tangent direction defined by the geometry.
The Reverse Crack Front node is only available with some COMSOL products (see www.comsol.com/products/specifications/).
