Including Initial Strain
Initial stresses and strains can be specified in a subnode to a material model. You can define a stress/strain distribution with constant values or as an expression, which can, for example, be space or time dependent. The initial stresses and strains can also come from another physics interface in the same study, or even be results from another study.
In this example, you add a pin geometry to the bracket assembly. Then you specify an initial strain to simulate that the pin is slightly too short in the axial direction, and then you investigate its effect on the assembly.
