Connecting Parts
The most important feature for connecting part is a joint. A joint will in general allow relative movement between two parts in one or more degrees of freedom. This is described in detail in the Joints section.
It is also possible to connect parts by springs and dampers, as described in the Springs and Dampers section.
A part can be connected to several joints, springs, or dampers. The way to attach them differs between a rigid and a flexible object.
A flexible body must be connected through an attachment, as described in the Attachments section. Add an Attachment node to the model and select the attached boundaries. The attachment is then referenced in, for example, a joint.
Adjacent domains selected in different Rigid Material nodes are independent objects, and can even penetrate each other.
