The Mass (
) feature connects a lumped mass between two nodes in the mechanical system.
Enter a component Name for the mass. The default name (for the first instance) is
M1.
Set the two Node names for the connecting nodes for the mass.
Enter the values of Initial displacement (
u) and
Initial velocity (
∂u/∂t). The initial values are used in a time dependent analysis.
Select the Exclude contribution checkbox in order to exclude the contribution of gravity force.
Select appropriate options in the Add the following to default results in order to include the following quantities in the default plots or evaluations:
