Changing the MATLAB® Version
The path of the MATLAB® version connected to COMSOL Multiphysics is defined during the initial COMSOL installation. The MATLAB root path can be changed using the Preferences window:

From the File (Windows users) or Options menu (macOS and Linux users), select Preferences ().

In the Preferences window, click LiveLink Connections and then LiveLink™ for MATLAB®.

Set the MATLAB root directory path in the MATLAB® installation folder field.

Windows users also need to click the Register MATLAB® as COM Server button; otherwise, the specified MATLAB version does not start when calling external MATLAB functions from the COMSOL model.

Click OK.

To update the preferences file, close and reopen the COMSOL Desktop.
On macOS, select the COMSOL with MATLAB application available in the Application folder. The correct path includes the .app extension.
