Combine Solutions (Utility Node)
Use a Combine Solutions node () to manipulate solutions. The supported operations include concatenation, convert outer to inner solution, summation, weighted summation, general summation and remove solutions. When one of the source solutions is from a Parametric Solutions node or an outer solution, a Parametric Solutions node () is created below the Combine Solutions node.
The Combine Solutions node’s Settings window contains the following sections:
General
Use the Defined by study step list to specify if the settings are synchronized with the corresponding study step. If you select User defined (to overwrite the settings defined in the corresponding study node), you can specify the settings to be different from the corresponding study step.
From the Solution operation list, choose Concatenation (the default), Convert outer to inner solution, Summation, Weighted summation, General summation, or Remove solutions. For more information about the available settings for each Solution operation see Combine Solutions Settings.
When the concatenation operation generates a Parametric Solutions node, a Solution field in the Settings window indicates which Parametric Solution node is connected to the Combine Solutions solver.
Log
This section, which is initially empty, contains a log from the combine solution process. Select the Keep warnings in stored log checkbox as needed.
Changes from Default Settings
The table in this section records the properties that have a different value from the value set by the default solver.
