Grain Positions
Use a Grain Positions 2D () or 3D () plot to visualize the grain positions computed using one of the Granular Flow physics interfaces. This plot must point to a Grain (Dataset). Add a Color Expression, Deformation, Export Expressions, Material Appearance, Filter, Transformation, Transparency (3D only), or Visual Effects (3D only) subnode as needed. For the settings in the Filter subnode, see Filter for Grain and Grain Positions. Right-click a 2D Plot Group or 3D Plot Group to add this plot.

For Grain Positions plots, Grain, Particle, Ray, Grain Bin Particle Bin, Ray Bin, Intersection Point 2D and 3D, Receiver 2D and 3D, and Transformation 2D and 3D datasets are allowed as inputs.
The Grain Positions plot creates trajectories not for the actually selected time, parameter, or frequency value but for all values lower or equal to the selected value.
This Grain Positions plot is available with the Granular Flow Module. However, the plot does not compute the grain trajectories during results processing — the trajectories are computed by one of the physics interfaces in the Granular Flow Module. The plot can thereby render tens of thousands of grains quickly because the trajectories have already been computed.
