Rotating Frame
The Rotating Frame global feature is automatically added when Rotating frame is selected at the interface level in the Physical Model settings. It defines the fictitious Coriolis, centrifugal and Euler forces from the settings in the Rotating Frame section.
Rotating frame
In 2D, the axis of rotation is an out-of-plane axis. In this case, select a Rotation axis base point rbp.
In 2D axial symmetry, the axis of rotation is the symmetry axis.
In 3D, select an Axis of rotationx-axis, y-axis, z-axis (the default), or User defined. For User defined enter a Rotation axis direction eax and a Rotation axis base point rbp.
Select a Rotation speedAngular velocity, Revolutions per time, or User defined.
For Angular velocity, enter a value for the angular velocity magnitude Ωf.
For Revolutions per time, enter an RPM value.
For User defined, enter the Rotation angle α in radians as function of time (the variable t).
In case Angular velocity or Revolutions per time is selected, also select a Rotational directionCounterclockwise (the default) or Clockwise.
