Application and Physics Builder Security
Models and applications can be protected with the AES256 encryption algorithm using passwords for running and editing. For applications without a running password, the model or application is decrypted using a secret but hard-coded password. To achieve the highest security, use both an editing and a running password.
Protecting a model or application only encrypts the XML data structure that represents the Model Builder and the Application Builder data structures. Auxiliary data structures describing the geometry, mesh, and solution are not encrypted.
Compiled physics builder files are obfuscated with the AES256 encryption algorithm using a hard-coded password.
