Removing (Uninstalling) the COMSOL Installation
To remove a COMSOL installation from your system, you can use the COMSOL Installer’s uninstallation option. This removes all the files and directories that were initially created by the COMSOL Installer. Files and directories that were created or modified after the installation are not removed.
You can start the COMSOL Uninstaller in a few different ways:
•
Launch the
COMSOL Setup
application from the installation directory, and select
Uninstall COMSOL 6.4
.
•
Launch the COMSOL Installer using the same method as for the original installation, and select
Uninstall COMSOL 6.4
.
•
In a terminal window, run the following command:
/Applications/COMSOL64/Multiphysics/setup uninstall
Alternatively, to remove the COMSOL installation, you can also delete the
COMSOL64
folder including all subfolders. The following file may also be added by the installer:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.comsol.lmcomsol.plist
.
