Micromechanics Modeling

To analyze components made from laminated composites, it is necessary to quantify the material properties of an individual lamina (layer, ply). The task of computing homogenized material properties using either repeating unit cell (RUC) or representative volume element (RVE) is known as micromechanics analysis. The homogenized material properties can be computed when the material properties and distribution for the fibers and matrix are known.
