This node may be added as a subnode to any species node. See also Common Settings for the Species Nodes in the Electrophoretic Transport Interface.

In order to account for consumption or production of species, for example in porous electrodes or as a result of reversible reactions, the Species Source node adds source terms expressions S (SI unit: mol/(m3·s) to the right-hand side of the transport equation of the parent species.
