Inside a multiphase system, mass can be transported from one phase to another one, and chemical reaction can take place among different phases. This kind of mass source term can be described by the Heterogeneous Reaction node.

From the Selection list, choose the domains on which to define rate expression or expressions that govern the source term in the transport equations.

The Chemistry list shows all the Chemistry interfaces that are coupled to the current mass transport interface. The coupling conditions and the reaction rate variables taken from the Chemistry interface are the same as that in the Reactions node.

With User defined selected in the Chemistry list, add a mas source term Ri (SI unit: mol/(m3·s)) for each species, or pick up a reaction rate variable from a Chemistry interface.
