Pair Convected Acoustic–Structure Boundary, Time Explicit
The Pair Convected Acoustic–Structure Boundary, Time Explicit multiphysics coupling () is used to couple the Convected Wave Equation, Time Explicit interface with the Elastic Waves, Time Explicit interface, in an assembly geometry where identity pairs have been created.
This pair version of the Convected Acoustic–Structure Boundary, Time Explicit coupling makes it possible to take full advantage of the time explicit formulation. See the Pair Acoustic–Structure Boundary, Time Explicit feature for more details.

Coupled Interfaces
This section defines the physics involved in the multiphysics coupling. The Acoustics and Structure lists include all applicable physics interfaces. The Convected Wave Equation, Time Explicit Interface and The Elastic Waves, Time Explicit Interface can be selected here.
Quadrature Settings
The time-explicit DG-FEM method uses an efficient quadrature free computation of the boundary flux. This can in certain cases result in unstable behavior when pair conditions are used with non-conforming meshes. To remedy this, a more accurate projection based quadrature method is used (per default) on all pair conditions, such as the Pair Convected Acoustic–Structure Boundary, Time Explicit condition.
Click to select Use a projection based quadrature method for the boundary flux computation (selected per default).
Pair Selection
Add and select the identity pairs where the pair multiphysics coupling feature is applied.
Create separate Identity boundary Pairs for components of the boundary (where the coupling feature is used) if they meet at a corner or sharp edge. One identity pair for each boundary. By default, identity pairs are created automatically when forming an assembly. Use the automatically created identity boundary pair, duplicate it and then edit them removing boundaries, where necessary.
