Continuity
The Continuity feature ensures continuity in magnetic fields across matching boundaries in assembly geometries with identity pairs.
Pair Selection
From the Pairs list, choose From list (the default), All, All contact pairs, or All identity pairs. If you choose From list, select the pairs where you want to impose continuity across the pair boundaries by clicking the Add button () and choose the pairs to add from the list in the Add dialog that opens; then click OK.

Continuity Constraint Parameters
This section is only available in 3D. From the Continuity Constraint Parameters list, choose Automatic (the default) or Legacy (requires conformal meshes). The Automatic setting formulates a magnetic scalar potential on both sides of the identity pair and uses a penalty factor dependent on mesh size to ensure continuity. This setting is best suited for most cases including those with relative motion or non-conformal meshes. The Legacy (requires conformal meshes) setting asserts equality of the magnetic vector potential between source and destination of the identity pair, and should only be used in cases without motion and where the mesh is conformal across the pair.
