Exterior Electric Insulation
The Exterior Electric Insulation node for the Magnetic Fields interface provides electric insulation on exterior boundaries. It does this by applying a truncated magnetic scalar potential at the boundary with the conditions and . The feature is only applicable to exterior boundaries. When applied to the exterior boundary of a conducting domain, it should also be applied to exterior boundaries of surrounding nonconducting domains.
This condition is useful in 3D electric motor models using the mixed formulation of the Rotating Machinery, Magnetic interface where the topological condition on the scalar potential regions must be fulfilled.
