Field Continuity
To display the Field Continuity boundary condition, click the Show More Options button () and select Advanced Physics Options. This boundary condition is available when the Number of directions in the Wave Vectors section is set to Unidirectional. The boundary condition assures that the tangential electric and magnetic fields components are continuous on interior boundaries, also when the Phase, first wave ϕ1 expression is discontinuous at the boundary.
This boundary condition should not be used if there are different materials on the two sides of the boundary. In that case, there will be reflections at the boundary and it is probably more appropriate to use Bidirectional propagation.
