Use the Flux node to specify the mass flux into or out of the model domain through some of its boundaries. With this boundary condition, positive values correspond to flow into the model domain:
where N denotes the outward pointing normal of the boundary in the reference configuration.
Enter a value or expression in the corresponding field for the normal flux γ0. A positive value of
γ0 represents an inward mass flux, whereas a negative value represents an outward mass flux. The units are based on the geometric entity and the units of the dependent variables specified in
Transported Quantity.
This setting is only available when the model includes deforming or rotating domains, for example when using a Moving Mesh node or a Structural Mechanics interface. From the
Frame list, select
Reference configuration or
Deformed configuration to specify the flux in the reference (material frame) or in the deformed (spatial frame) configuration.
