When added on a Hygroscopic Porous Medium domain with Equilibrium between liquid and gas phases set to Equilibrium formulation, the moisture source is distributed between the liquid and vapor phases proportionally to the amount of liquid water and water vapor in the pores. The total moisture source is stored in the variable mt.Gtot, while the vapor and liquid water sources are stored in mt.G_v and mt.G_l respectively. See Equilibrium Moisture Transport for details.

This feature is intended to model additional external moisture sources or sinks, such as those that would result from a chemical reaction like combustion where water is a reaction product, or from water phase change with a phase that is not modeled. In particular, this feature can be used to account for the additional vapor that would enter moist air due to the sublimation of snow flakes, since the solid water composing the snow flakes cannot be modeled with Moisture Transport interfaces. But it should not be used to model evaporation in a hygroscopic porous medium since liquid water is already modeled. The latter phase change automatically happens under the favorable conditions.
