Symmetry (Radiation in Participating Media and Radiation in Absorbing-Scattering Media Interfaces)
This node provides a condition for symmetry boundaries. When the Radiation discretization method is P1 approximation, it corresponds to a no radiative flux condition across the boundary.
When the Radiation discretization method is Discrete ordinates method, it constrains radiative intensities of symmetrical directions to be equal. In that case, the Symmetry feature is restricted to flat boundaries which normal is aligned with the main axes of the component:
For 3D components, boundaries of normal aligned with the x-axis, y-axis, or z-axis can be selected.
