Adding Configurations
To add configurations, right-click the Results node and choose Configurations () and then Graph Plot Style, Multiselect Solution, Single-Select Solution, or Preferred Units. The Graph Plot Style node contains line styles, line markers, legends, and other graph plot style settings, whereas for Multiselect Solution and Single-Select Solution nodes, the former is useful for plots and data evaluations where you can use multiple times, eigenvalues, or parameter values, and the latter is useful for plots and data evaluations that use a single time, eigenvalue, or parameter value.
A Configurations node is then added with a Graph Plot Style, Multiselect Solution, Single-Select Solution, or Preferred Units subnode. To add additional configurations, right-click the Results node or the Configurations node and choose another Graph Plot Style, Multiselect Solution, or Single-Select Solution to add it as a new configuration. There can only be a single Preferred Units node. You can also add configuration nodes from the Configurations menu in the Definitions section on the Results ribbon toolbar.
When you have defined configurations, you can use them and select applicable configurations in the Settings windows for plot groups, evaluations groups, and data export nodes, for example. You then do not have to redefine which settings or solutions to use in each plot, data evaluation, or data export.
