Connection Surface
Use the Connection Surface node to set the sum of the locally integrated electrode current plus global contributions to 0 at a boundary, thus complying with Kirchoff’s first law. The node is applicable to external boundaries to Electrode and Porous Electrode domains.
The node defines a global electrode phase potential degree of freedom, and sets the local electrode potential to this degree of freedom at the feature’s selection.
The global degree of freedom is announced so that it can be used for instance by External Short electrode phase potential condition.
The node is active if Enable Cathodic Protection Features check box is enabled at the interface node.
