Time Dependent, One-Way with Initialization NITF studies are available with the Nonisothermal Flow interfaces and the Conjugate Heat Transfer interfaces, which require the CFD Module or the Heat Transfer Module. The
Frozen Rotor, One-Way with Initialization NITF study is available with the Rotating Machinery, Nonisothermal Flow interfaces, which require the Mixer Module plus the CFD Module.
The Stationary, One-Way with Initialization NITF (
) study is used for stationary nonisothermal flow computations with a turbulent model that requires an initialization. The study assumes that the temperature variations are so small that they do not affect the flow.
The study consists of a Wall Distance Initialization followed by two
Stationary study steps. The
Wall Distance Initialization study step is dedicated to solving for the reciprocal wall distance (that is, the reciprocal distance to the closest wall). The first
Stationary study step solves for the fluid velocity and pressure fields, and the second solves for the temperature field.
