Use the Semiconductor Initialization () study and study step to adaptively refine the mesh based on the gradient of the impurity doping concentration. The study consists of a single Semiconductor Initialization step. The Semiconductor Initialization study step has adaptive mesh refinement turned on by default and solves an unphysical equation that causes the mesh to be refined in regions where the gradient of the doping is large. The settings are similar to those for a Stationary study step. This study is available with the Semiconductor Module.
