Defining Variable Thickness Layers
In some applications, one or more layers in a laminate can have a thickness variation as a function of geometry coordinate. These layers are typically core layers in sandwich laminates. This can be achieved by using the
Scale
option in the
Layered Material Link
or
Layered Material Stack
nodes.
In order to scale the entire laminate, the
Layered Material Link
node can be used however for individual layer scaling as shown in
FigureĀ 3-14
, the
Layered Material Stack
node more suited.
