The Laminated Core node is used to model linear or non-linear soft magnetic materials that contain no induced currents. The two available options for the
Magnetization model setting are
B-H Curve and
Relative permeability, and are described for the
Ampère’s Law feature in the
Magnetic Fields interface. It is also possible to specify the
Loss model, which defines the
Volumetric loss density cycle average (SI unit: W/m
3). It can be given as a
User defined input, or, if
B-H Curve is chosen as the
Magnetization model, via
Steinmetz or
Bertotti coefficients. More information on loss models can be found in the documentation for the
Loss Calculation feature.
