The Conductor node adds the continuity equation for the electrical potential and provides an interface for defining the electric conductivity. Use it as an easy way to apply current sources, especially in connection with the Stationary Source Sweep with Initialization study step. The Conductor feature has several subnodes (
Terminal,
Ground,
Electric Insulation) that can be used to define the boundary conditions for the current conservation.
An operation named as Split by Connectivity (
) is available by right-clicking the parent node. The operation is useful when there are several conductor domains that are not geometrically connected. Clicking the operation node will automatically generate several
Conductor nodes where each selection is geometrically connected.
