Closest Point Determination
A general extrusion operator is defined in order to find a point on the cam boundaries or edges that is closest to the follower point. The general extrusion operator used has the following settings:

Source selection: Cam boundaries or edges

Destination map: Spatial position of the follower point
•
Source frame: Spatial frame
•
Mesh search method: Closest point
