Fracture
Use this node to model mass transport along thin fractures in porous media. The node assumes that the transport in the tangential direction along the fracture is dominant as a result of lower flow resistance.
The Fracture feature has two default subfeatures — the Fluid (Fracture) subfeature where convection and diffusion are specified and the Fracture Material subfeature where the porosity εp is defined.
Fracture Properties
Specify a value for the Fracture thickness dfr.
For the Fracture boundary condition, there are a number of Attributes available which can be accessed either via the Physics Ribbon toolbar (for Windows) or by right-clicking on the Fracture node. These attributes are identical to the Boundary, Edge, Point, and Pair Nodes for the Transport of Diluted Species in Fractures Interface.
