Outlet
The Outlet node defines an edge or point where fluid leaves the gap.
Outlet Settings
Select an Outlet conditionZero pressure (the default), Pressure, Normal outflow velocity, or Outflow. The option Starvation is also available when Liquid with cavitation is selected in the Physical Model section.
For Zero pressure, pfilm = 0 applies on the boundary, edge, or point.
For Pressure, enter a Pressure pfilm0 (SI unit: Pa) to impose pfilm = pfilm0 on the boundary, edge, or point. The default is 0 Pa. If the reference pressure pref = 0 in the Reference Pressure section, then pfilm0 represents the absolute pressure, otherwise pfilm0 sets the relative pressure with respect to pref.
For Normal outflow velocity, enter a Normal outflow velocity U0. The default is 0 m/s.
For Outflow, the fluid is allowed to leave the gap without explicitly imposing a value of pressure or velocity.
For Starvation, enter a value for the Fluid fraction θ0. The default is 0.6 (dimensionless).
