The AC/DC materials library contains a number of materials that assist in modeling electromagnetic components such as actuators, motors, loudspeakers, generators, and so on. Two branches of material, AC/DC (
) and
Nonlinear Magnetic (
) in the
Material Library (
), are frequently used. The
AC/DC branch includes typical materials for electromagnetics modeling and the
Nonlinear Magnetic branch includes nonlinear magnetization curves for a large set of ferromagnetic alloys.
The Liquid Metals folder of the AC/DC Material Library contains values of the Thermal conductivity, Electrical conductivity, Dynamic viscosity, and Density for liquid Titanium, Steel, Iron, Nickel, Copper, Aluminum, Magnesium, Tin, Lithium, Sodium, Wood’s metal, Potassium, Gallium, NaK (Sodium-potassium eutectic), and Mercury based on the book Introduction to Magnetohydrodynamics by P.A. Davidson, published by Cambridge University Press. Copyright (c) P.A. Davidson 2017. Reproduced with permission of Cambridge University Press through PLSclear.
