Use a Nyquist (
) plot to plot a Nyquist plot that shows the magnitude and phase of a frequency response. The plot shows the magnitude as the distance from the origin and the phase as the angle using a curve with the frequency as the parameter. Typical data to use for a Nyquist plot includes complex-valued impedance data from a frequency domain study. Add a
Color Expression subnode as needed. To add this plot type, right-click a
1D Plot Group or
Polar Plot Group node and choose
Nyquist from the
More Plots menu.
Except where noted below, see Global for all of the settings. For Global Plots, the
Expressions section is called
y-Axis Data (or
r-Axis Data for polar plots), but the instructions are the same.
Under Coloring and Style, select the
Show unit circle check box to include a unit circle in the Nyquist plot.
