Defining Variable Thickness Layers
In some applications, one or more layers in a laminate can have a thickness variation as a function of geometry coordinate. These layers are typically core layers in a sandwich laminates. This can be achieved by using the Scale option in the Layered Material Link or Layered Material Stack nodes.
In order to scale the entire laminate, the Layered Material Link node can be used however for individual layer scaling as shown in FigureĀ 3-13, the Layered Material Stack node more suited.
