The Initial Values node adds initial values for the pressure and the saturation of fluid 1 (that is, the fraction of that fluid inside the pore space) that can serve as initial conditions for a transient simulation or as an initial guess for a nonlinear solver.

Enter a value or expression for the initial value of the Pressure p (SI unit: Pa). The default value is 0 Pa. Enter a value or expression for the initial value of the Saturation fluid 1 s1 (a dimensionless number between 0 and 1). The default value is 0. The saturation of Fluid 2 is then calculated as s2 = 1 − s1.
