Use the Semiconductor Initialization () study and study step to adaptively refine the mesh based upon the gradient of the impurity doping concentration. The study consists of a single Semiconductor Initialization step. The Semiconductor Initialization study step has adaptive mesh refinement turned on by default and solves a nonphysical equation that causes the mesh to be refined in regions where the gradient of the doping is large. The settings are similar to those for a Stationary study step. This study is available with the Semiconductor Module.
