Electromechanical Interface
An Electromechanical Interface node is automatically added to the model as a default node. Use the Electromechanical Interface node to apply a boundary load to the solid that results from the discontinuity in the Maxwell stress tensor across the interface. Appropriate boundary conditions for the mesh deformation are also included in this boundary condition.
It is possible to add additional force contributions (such as a pressure load) on the interface using the boundary conditions inherited from solid mechanics. If additional forces are not required the default free boundary condition should be used. Note that the electrical forces are still applied in this instance.
Boundary Selection
For a default node, the setting inherits the selection from the parent node, and cannot be edited; that is, the selection is automatically selected and applied on boundaries between the Linear Elastic Material Model/Linear Elastic Dielectric domains and the Electrical Material Model domains. When nodes are added from the context menu, you can select Manual from the Selection list to choose specific boundaries or select All boundaries as needed.
