Line Heat Source (Thin Rod)
Use this subnode to add an internal heat source, Ql, within the rod. Add one or more heat sources.
Line Heat Source
Select the General source (the default) or Heat rate button to define Ql.

For General source enter a value or expression for Ql as a heat source per volume.
•
For Heat rate define the heat rate Pl. In this case Ql = Pl ⁄ V.
You can specify the source to be a harmonic perturbation in a frequency domain analysis. To mark the source as being a harmonic perturbation, right-click the node and choose Harmonic Perturbation. Note that this updates the node’s icon. See Theory for Harmonic Heat Transfer for more details.
