Theory for Electrochemical Heat Sources
Heat sources and sinks appear in an electrochemical cell due to both reversible and irreversible phenomena. To model the energy balance of an electrochemical cell a Heat Transfer interface is used to model the heat transport whereas a current distribution interface (such as the Secondary Current Distribution or Lithium-Ion Battery) is used to generate the heat sources and sinks due to the electrochemical currents. The Governing Equations are discussed in this section.
